IVF makes it possible for men with zero sperms to father their own children!

A healthy baby was born after IVF treatment at Ganesamoni Fertility Center for a couple with 8 years of Primary infertility. The husband was found to have azoospermia, i.e., no sperms in semen. The wife had Polycystic ovaries. Both are very tricky conditions to treat and needed a multi factorial treatment approach that included serious lifestyle changes and dedicated fertility treatment follow up.

It was explained to the couple that they needed IVF treatment in order to conceive. The husband underwent a procedure called Micro- TESE, which is the cutting edge technology for treating azoospermia. The wife underwent treatment for her polycystic ovaries. The healthy sperms were retrieved from the husband and injected into healthy eggs retrieved from the wife (ICSI). The embryos were grown for a few days in our IVF lab and transferred into the uterus of wife. She conceived right in her first cycle which was something not very frequently encountered. After careful and dedicated antenatal care at Ganesamoni hospital, in September 2019, a healthy baby was delivered.

After lots of perseverance, support  and love for each other from the couple, and a dash of science from Ganesamoni Fertility center, a lovely baby was brought into this world!
